Changing the approach to Tanago
Depending on the time of year, you will see large tanago with strong vigilance and tanago that is difficult to catch with a short rod due to the distance. Such grumpy bitterlings will respond immediately if you approach them from a distance. Development was promoted with the assumption of such a location, keeping a distance from the fish. The unique hardness of the tip (tip) allows you to respond immediately to the delicate movement of the eel, which is exclusive to Tanago. Today's tanago rods are characterized by a thin and soft tip, but the Veritas 60/80 is finished in a straight line. The feature of this Verias 60/80 is that it can respond to the momentary movement of the float, even though it is long.
Usefulness of variable rods
The feature of this rod is that it is variable from 6 shaku to 8 shaku. In 80 mode, explore weed pockets and bushes with distance, and in 60 mode, explore the front break line. With this one, you can aim at various areas. In addition, thanks to the strong and supple berry-bat, it is possible to deal with large tanago and unexpected strays without difficulty.
Veritas series developed to aim for catch priority (number fishing) rather than the taste of fish. These days, Tanago rods are given priority to the taste, and there are many rods that are soft (ultra-light). Originally, I wanted to give it a feeling similar to a Japanese rod, so I settled on a rod with the current taste. This Veritas 60/80 is especially necessary for Kanehira and Tabira Shinko and Bote tribes from summer to early winter. The world will change if you learn the feeling of this series. Although it is a strong long rod, it is OK to use the same gimmicks and tools as before, and even large tanago gimmicks are OK. It is a versatile rod that can be handled without problems even when a slightly larger fish such as crucian carp or carp is caught.
