Despite its long bill, it can dive to a shallow depth of about 20cm. The slender long lip and the eye position at the tip of the lip are the key to making it suitable for wide rolls.
The slash ladder at the very end of the body catches the water current, allowing it to appeal to the eye even when thrown dead slow without losing its action.
The gills and body surfaces are finely embossed to recreate a realistic texture reminiscent of a real small fish.
