This is a technical versatile model that covers everything from lightweight lures to big baits. The sophisticated low-profile body is equipped with the highly acclaimed I-DC5 unit from the Calcutta Conquest DC. The DC's characteristics of excellent long-distance casting and backlash resistance, as well as resistance to wind and other weather conditions, have been further refined. The spool uses the ultra-thin Magnum Light Spool III. The quick rotation start-up due to the low inertia is particularly effective with lightweight lures, and it is possible to shoot lures at will with a low trajectory even under narrow overhangs. A micro module gear is placed at the center of the drive. With smooth and powerful winding and three gear ratio variations, it matches any lure, from spinning lures to shooting lures.

By transplanting the I-DC5 electronically controlled brake unit inherited from the Calcutta Conquest DC to the SLX DC, a new era of versatile DC has been born that covers everything from light lures to big baits while also providing high long-distance casting performance and anti-backlash performance. The I-DC5 unit packed into a new body shape with gentle curves achieves greater casting distance and easier casting than the conventional I-DC4 equipped model. The DC brake's advantages of smooth spool start-up and little backlash remain intact, but the SLX DC XT's range of compatibility with lighter lures has expanded. I was surprised at how easily I could cast light lures of the 3/16 oz class. In situations where I had to use multiple reels, the SLX DC XT can handle everything from light lures to heavy winding lures with just one reel. It's nice to be able to use a variety of lures without changing the winding feel. The SLX DC XT will be a reliable ally even when fishing from shore, where the number of tackles is limited.

Equipped with an MGL III spool and an I-DC5 unit that are expected to increase casting distance, the range of lures that can be used has clearly expanded.
