By adopting a center nut with a wider fixation area, the screw threads on the reel part now engage deeper. Compared to previous models, the hold strength has increased, resulting in improved sensitivity and rigidity. As a result, a nut retainer is no longer needed to prevent loosening in the new model.
The plate uses a high-rigidity carbon prepreg sheet, pressed into a crank shape under high pressure. Additionally, the logo from the previous STANDARD PLUS model has been updated for this new version.
Regarding the shaft, instead of the standard 4φ shaft, we’ve chosen a more rigid 5φ SUS shaft designed for saltwater use, prioritizing strength.
For Shimano models 300 and 400, please use the Daiwa ABU-compatible versions.
