AIRDRIVE DESIGN
Air Drive Design is a next-generation spinning reel design concept that pursues the angler's desire to operate the lure as they wish. Air Drive Design is composed of up to four technologies. The prerequisite is the installation of an Air Drive Rotor that produces light winding and high-response rotation, a lightweight and trouble-free Air Drive Bail, a thin-walled Air Drive Spool that has been designed to reduce weight by removing unnecessary material to the limit, and an Air Drive Shaft that supports the main shaft with a high-precision collar and has a non-contact structure with the pinion gear, allowing for light winding with extremely little rotation noise even under high load. The synergistic effect of these and the improvement of the weight balance of the reel achieve a high level of operability.

AIR DRIVE ROTOR
Using our unique theory, we have derived a new shape that looks as if it was cut out of a sphere, and by thoroughly removing unnecessary material from it, we have achieved a significant weight reduction while maintaining rigidity. This has dramatically improved the lightness of the reel, which leads to improved operability and sensitivity.
AIR DRIVE BAIL
The Air Veil has adopted a hollow pipe structure that provides rigidity and light weight, but in order to achieve further weight reduction, the diameter has been made smaller while maintaining the necessary strength. The veil angle is set to the optimum angle to allow the line to transition more smoothly from the veil to the line roller. This has made it even lighter and less troublesome.
AIR DRIVE SPOOL
A thin-walled design that eliminates unnecessary material and achieves weight reduction. The thin-walled design of the spool skirt and the hollowing out of the inside of the spool are the key to weight reduction. The lighter spool improves ease of winding and casting. In addition, the drag sound mechanism with low operating resistance improves response when the drag is activated.
AIR DRIVE SHAFT
The system uses a non-contact structure between the main shaft and pinion, a linear shaft that eliminates friction, and supports both ends of the pinion with bottom brackets, maximizing the power input to generate torque. Furthermore, the main shaft is supported by a high-precision collar, which reduces rotational noise to the maximum.
MONOCOQUE BODY
Strong and durable technology, monocoque body. Conventional spinning reels generally support both ends of the drive gear with the body and body cover, and secure them with several screws. In order to further improve precision and rigidity, the monocoque body eliminates the body cover and secures the gear by screwing a high-precision plate directly into the body. This improves the support precision of the gear, and also improves rigidity and airtightness. Furthermore, by utilizing the space previously taken up by the screw, we have succeeded in expanding the size of the drive gear to its maximum. The monocoque body means MONO (one) - COQUE (shell). The completely new shape, which symbolizes the strength of a single shell, breaks the conventional wisdom of reel structure.
MAGSEALED
DAIWA's unique waterproof structure creates a wall of magnetic oil in the gap between the body and rotor, blocking out seawater, dust, and other elements.
ZAION
DAIWA's unique technology has succeeded in molding a special resin with high density carbon fiber woven into it, which is extremely difficult to process. This is the pinnacle of DAIWA carbon material, combining incredible lightness and strength. Only high-end models are allowed to wear this performance.

ATD TYPE-L

LC-ABS (Long Cast ABS)
While keeping the idea of ​​reducing the contact resistance of ABS II, the contact point has been moved forward to achieve smoother line release. The effect of the ring part moving forward makes it difficult for the line to get caught on the ring, which has resulted in an approximately 5% increase in distance and trouble-free performance over the conventional ABS II. This is the next generation ABS spool that achieves LC (= LONG CAST).

■ Stopperless body
The body structure has been simplified by removing the stopper. The decision to remove the stopper, which is a route for water and foreign objects to enter, not only reduces weight and improves waterproof performance, but also minimizes the risk of sudden trouble when fishing in harsh environments or with large fish, which are required of the 24LUVIAS.
■EVA round light knob (installed on the 5000 size)
The LT5000D-CXH, designed for surf fishing and light shore jigging, comes standard with a power light type EVA knob for heavy-duty fishing.
The round knob with high winding torque supports winding under heavy loads.
■Perfect Line Stopper
A new line stopper shape that is compatible with thin lines such as PE and thick lines such as leaders. The horizontal shape saves vertical space and contributes to reducing the weight of the spool.
■Main shaft
The main shaft material is chosen based on the intended use of each item.
A lightweight aluminum main shaft is used for items from LT2000S-P to LT3000-H, which require a lighter weight.
On the other hand, a SUS main shaft is used for the four items PC LT3000, PC LT3000-XH, LT4000-XH, and LT5000D-CXH, which require greater rigidity. The LT4000-XH and LT5000D-CXH have achieved a drag value of 12kg.
■Super duralumin MC (machine cut) tough digital gear
The MC Tough Digigear made of ultra-super duralumin installed in the 24LUVIAS is made of a material that has been cold forged to give it high strength, and is then machine cut with high precision to create the ideal gear. The five items with medium and large bodies (PC LT2500-H, LT3000-H, PC LT3000-XH, LT4000-XH, LT5000D-CXH) that place a particularly large load on the drive gear are given a special surface treatment to increase the surface hardness of the gears, reducing the adverse effects caused by sudden force being applied.
